Skin Tags (acrochordons) are very common benign skin growths which occur in an estimated half of all adults. It's not certain what causes them, but irritation or friction of the skin is believed to be the chief reason. They are usually flesh or brown in color. Skin tags occur more commonly in people who are overweight or have diabetes and in people with a family history of skin tags.
